Daryl regularly advises employers in all areas of labour and employment law, including labour relations, employment standards, human rights, workplace safety and insurance, privacy, occupational health and safety, wrongful dismissal, and other employment-related mediation, arbitration and litigation. His labour relations practice includes advising clients in responding to certification applications, sale of business/related employer applications, and unfair labour practice complaints. He also routinely advises and represents employers in grievance arbitrations.
Daryl has represented clients before numerous courts and tribunals including the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Justice.
Daryl is the Legal Adviser to the Firm's Joint Health & Safety Committee in its Toronto office. Daryl is also a member of the Firm’s Cannabis Group, where he has most recently been advising employers on employment issues and considerations related to the upcoming legalization of recreational cannabis.
